2022-2023 Marketing & Digital Media VISTA
 
 
 
The Marketing and Digital Media VISTA will be hosted by Facing Forward located in Chicago. Facing Forward is a part of the Housing Action AmeriCorps Network, an AmeriCorps VISTA program managed by Housing Action Illinois since 2010. As such, this position will receive customized training, support, guidance, and networking opportunities, in addition to the traditional opportunities for AmeriCorps VISTA positions. Learn more about the program on Housing Action’s website. Facing Forward serves families and individuals throughout Chicago who are currently experiencing, or at risk of experiencing homelessness. Our organization provides permanent supportive housing and case management to nearly 300 households in the Chicagoland area. The Marketing and Digital Media VISTA will lead efforts to strengthen communications and marketing strategies at Facing Forward to expand the reach of our services and engage potential donors. The ideal candidate will be able to write compelling content for our website, various social media channels, and various publications such as one-pagers, annual reports and email newsletters. Applicants with strong writing, photography, graphic design, social media and/or WordPress skills are strongly encouraged to apply. The candidate, aligned with the values of Facing Forward, should share a vision of ending homelessness for families and individuals throughout Chicago.

Member Duties : -Collaborate with Communications and Events Manager to expand and develop online and print materials to increase awareness of Facing Forward, foster donor involvement, and educate the public around ending homelessness. -Create, curate, and monitor content across various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Mailchimp. -Create an archive of client stories, program information, and photo and video content that adheres to ethical storytelling standards.
