University of Iowa Mobile Clinic; IAMNCC

The University of Iowa Mobile Clinic provides free basic health services to adults/families in the Iowa City and surrounding areas. Communities served include formerly incarcerated adults, immigrants/refugees, and rural populations. Iowa Mobile Clinic’s projects extend beyond our in-person clinics in the Iowa City area and include telehealth services to reach individuals lacking access to health services across the state. As we continue to expand our services to new communities lacking access to healthcare, we seek an individual passionate about improving community health/advocating for equitable access to health services. The individual will direct efforts relating to the recruitment of volunteers for mobile clinics and oversee the logistics of clinic site coordination. The individual will also assist in community outreach and partnership building activities, collaborate on the introduction of new clinic service initiatives specific to vaccines and women’s health, and identify areas for improvement regarding patient care and continuity. Individuals must be able to work full-time for the entire length of the program but will have the flexibility to set their own work hours and work remotely if they choose. Individuals of all backgrounds and disciplines are encouraged to apply!
