The CFB believes every person should be able to sleep on a bed, share a meal at a table, and do homework on a desk. The CFB currently furnishes 15 homes each day, and is the largest furniture bank in the country. Through partnerships with Ikea, Amazon, Walter E. Smithe and many more, we allow clients to handpick the furniture they want for their home in order to provide dignity and comfort as they begin a new chapter in their lives. The Partnerships and Communications VISTA will create and lead projects in collaboration with the CFB’s 400 nonprofit partners, help create communication strategy. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, have interpersonal skills, be detailed oriented and strongly believe in our mission. The CFB is a rapidly growing nonprofit, and candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup type environment The VISTA will obviously have full support and access to senior leadership whenever is needed, but should be able to work independently to execute on high-level tasks. Most of our nonprofit partners want to help the CFB in any way they can, and this VISTA is meant to lever their willingness to help to conduct research on to add the most possible value to the CFB.
