Summer Lunch Program VISTA

The Summer Associate will assist Community Outreach Ministries in carrying out a summer lunch program to provide meals to school-age children during summer months when school is not in session. When school is in session, low-income families are able to utilize the free and reduced school lunch program to supplement their budgets and feed their kids. However, this is not the case in July and August when school is out. Over the past few years, COM has operated an SFSP feeding site to address this need. The Summer Associate will assist in recruiting volunteers, planning meals, and implementing the summer lunch program.
