2022-2023 IAFCC Strategic Initiatives Coordinator

The Illinois Association of Free and Charitable Clinics aims to build the capacity of the 52 free and charitable clinics across the state of Illinois. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, these clinics have demonstrated their nimbleness as they continued to provide quality care, including medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare, for Illinois’ most marginalized residents. The Association works on initiatives that support the clinics in the areas of compliance, patient services and satisfaction, resource acquisition, and best practices in healthcare equity.

Member Duties : The Strategic Initiatives Coordinator VISTA will increase the capacity of the Illinois Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (IAFCC) by coordinating implementation of strategic initiatives identified within the IAFCC Strategic Plan and at the direction of the Executive Director. This VISTA will facilitate the implementation of the initiatives through conducting needs assessment, researching best practices, creating project and communication plans, implementing and facilitating the plan, and monitoring/evaluation. Through these actions, the VISTA will support IAFCC clinics in increasing access to primary health care, behavioral healthcare, and dental care for their patients. Ultimately, the VISTA will transition this work to staff for continuity and longevity.
