The Jewish Community Center of Youngstown has a rich history of investment in the health and well-being of Youngstown, OH. For nearly 70 years, the JCC has engaged the community in physical fitness, aquatics, youth and early childhood programs, arts & culture, and family activities. Everyone is welcome at the JCC! Our Main Campus features a fitness center, heated pool, gymnasium, deluxe health club, outdoor pickleball courts, a large pavilion, studios for dance, theatre, and visual arts, and a Multimedia Center with 12 state-of-the-art gaming computers, consoles, and more. Just a few miles down the road, our Logan Campus includes a beautiful outdoor pool, sand volleyball courts, tennis courts, and a snack shack. In order to grow our multimedia offerings, we are seeking a Summer Associate (SA) Program Coordinator to develop and implement sustainable technology programming to bridge the digital divide and provide educational and recreational opportunities to the community, with an emphasis on seniors and young adults. The SA will have the opportunity to serve as part of a strong nonprofit team with decades of experience providing excellent service to the community. Throughout their 10 weeks of service, the SA will have opportunities to attend staff meetings, in-service trainings, and JCC events while collaborating with other departments and community partners. The ideal candidate for this position is a creative problem solver with experience in research, planning, and program development, as well as an interest in technology education, gaming, and the digital arts. Service starts June 21 and ends Aug 29. Application deadline 5/18/2022

Member Duties : The Summer Associate Program Coordinator will identify and address gaps in program operations in order to create efficient and effective policies and procedures for multimedia resources while researching new program opportunities through collaboration with other JCC departments and community partners. The Program Coordinator will develop and create plans for implementing programs to address the needs of members and guests of all ages, interests, and skill levels and ensure that underserved participants have access.
