Campus Compact- Giving Dupage
 
 
 
The AmeriCorps member will focus on continued capacity building for the 14 higher education institutions in DuPage County to address the needs of low-income community organizations in DuPage County through a partnership with Giving DuPage. The member will work with the newly launched DuPage Higher Educational Service Council of faculty, staff, students, and community partners to continue to refine a set of goals and objectives for their collective work based on the goals set in Year 1. The AmeriCorps member will support the Council in implementing the defined goals and increasing the ability of the partners to work together for collective impact for the low-income communities of DuPage County. The position is based in Wheaton, IL The biweekly living allowance for this position is $675.08. In addition to the benefits listed, the host site will provide access to professional development and training opportunities. The AmeriCorps member serving at Giving Dupage will be part of a dynamic, motivated corps with Campus Compact AmeriCorps VISTA. Serving as a member of a corps provides the chance to connect with other members throughout multiple states, create a network of support, and share resources. As the intermediary, Campus Compact, a national non-profit, supports the professional and personal growth of AmeriCorps members through a variety of professional development opportunities and in-person trainings including overnight retreats throughout their service year. Member Duties : -Organize regular DuPage Higher Education Service Council (DHESC) meetings and engage council members to participate and eventually lead the meetings -Supporting the creation and execution of DHESC programs and projects -Assessing the work of the DHESC through surveys, quantitative data analysis, and qualitative research -Evaluating the processes and procedures of DHESC. Working with DHESC leadership to create a sustainable leadership model based on the work that started in year one of the project. -Work with the Council to inform & educate local DuPage nonprofits to the resources available to them through higher education in the region -Update resources, working documents, and DHESC webpage in support of council activities
