The Community Action Committee of Pike County’s mission is to improve the well-being and independence of those we serve. This includes provision of high-quality volunteer management, trainings, and in-services to help us meet the needs of Pike County’s low-income residents. Our focus supports our efforts in collaborating and developing community partnerships to create, manage, and sustain high-quality programs designed to meet the needs of the disenfranchised of our area by reduction of hunger, food insecurity, and all the negative impacts of the devastating institution named Poverty.

Member Duties : As our Resource Navigator, you will alleviate food insecurity by enhancing the services provided by the Community Action Committee of Pike County and its Mobile Food Pantry program. Our programs are targeted to hit the food deserts of Pike County’s most isolated areas. You will develop programs that aid in the reduction of multi-generational poverty. You will develop a community needs assessment and research best practices, determining a clear action plan for addressing gaps in services. You will also identify mobile food distribution sites to provide access to food and other resources. Strengthening our volunteer base and forming new community partnerships, you will foster a culture of collaboration within our organization and throughout the community. Finally, you will raise awareness of our efforts in fighting food insecurity, garnering public and financial support for our programs. **Benefits include a monthly $200 housing stipend to supplement living costs.**
