Solidarity Farms- Urban Farm & Community Meals VISTA
 
 
 
Solidarity Urban Farms is a part of The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer’s mission to empower our neighbors to live healthy and fulfilling lives. We are a sustainable urban farm network in Lorain, Ohio realizing community potentials through mutual growth and relationships of solidarity through: 1. Farm to Table Food Access through WIC & EBT; 2. Providing fresh produce for community meals; 3. Teaching soil and plant care; 4. Mentorship and vocational formation; and 5. Programming and games for neighborhood youth.

Member Duties : As our VISTA member, you will play an essential role in making Solidarity Urban Farms a sustainable urban farm that provides healthy food and programming to our community in the city of Lorain. You will rally volunteer support for our program and leverage grant funding, increasing community engagement in our cause. You will also coordinate the distribution of healthy and dignified meals to the community, engaging community member voices for essential input into this key program in support of its ongoing growth. Through your efforts, our community will become more collaborative and participatory in our program offerings. You will establish and strengthen community partnerships, addressing service gaps and promoting the health of our neighborhood. Join our team today!
