The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion supports Supporting the efforts of units across the school to achieve their diversity, equity, and inclusion goals. We collaborate with units across the school and community organizations to develop student, faculty and staff programs and initiatives focused on social justice, anti-racism, anti-discrimination, racial healing, and culturally humble conduct. There is a need for our social work students who serve the community to do so with an antiracist and anti-oppressive lens. Recent times have been challenging and there is a clear need for field instructors to have additional skills to support our students in doing anti-racist and anti-oppressive work so that they can better serve the community. This position will be focused on three key deliverables (1) A Field Instructor JEDI Training program consisting of 3-4 training modules (2) A field instructor learning community (3) A JEDI Resource Library for Field Instructors. These deliverables will ensure that agencies have access to improve service implementation.

Member Duties : The CCMA AmeriCorps VISTA member will be responsible for: Researching & documenting best practices for JEDI and Social Work Field Placements; Researching & compiling data on SSW Field Placements (JEDI policies, procedures, goals); Conducting interviews/surveys of Field Office, Field Placements, students, etc. to understand needs; Collecting resources for online JEDI library & trainings, & Learning Community; Developing a JEDI training program consisting of 3-4 training modules for field instructors based on survey results and areas of need/support; Creating a library of resources for use by field instructors in various organizations • Develop a JEDI Learning Community for Field Instructors • Developing program evaluation tools to help measure the impact of our consulting engagements on the nonprofits with which we work • Pilot JEDI trainings program for field instructors.
