LSS-Operations Coordinator

The mission of LSS is: Creating a better world, by serving people in need. We address the four core societal issues of food, shelter, safety, and healing through our food pantries, LSS Faith Mission, and LSS CHOICES for Victims of Domestic Violence. We partner with other organizations to uplift families and strengthen communities. South Side family Farms (SSFF), a program of ICANDO Community Development nonprofit, is one of the LSS Food Pantries' strongest partners. SSFF works within its network of committed South Side and City stakeholders to address some of the social determinants associated with poverty, especially to provide fresh local food access within the boundaries of the community food deserts through community urban farms, nutrition and sustainable farming education, workforce development, and entrepreneurship training.
