ShareCorps - Columbus Rec & Parks - Resource Coordinator

Columbus Recreation and Park's Youth and Family Development Division's mission is to connect the people of our community to resources and programs to build healthy, safe, empowered lives. Our teams engage with the community on a daily basis, providing food and other resources, educational support, referrals to partner agencies, job training, and violence intervention. Our team members are passionate about the work we do to better the lives of Columbus residents with short term emergency support and programs to decrease poverty in the long-term. We are focused on serving whole families with wrap around services and a web of internal programs and external partnerships to assure that families are receiving everything they need to move forward.

Member Duties : As a VISTA member with our program, you will expand services to older adults in our neighborhoods and connect them with their local Community Recreation Centers and other resources. You will also have the opportunity to meet with community members to hear what they need, work with a variety of partner agencies, and increase the impact of our Community Recreation Centers. Finally, you will work with the Community Resource and Food Office teams to evaluate current processes for the Rapid Resource Program, resource pantry and produce market programs.
