OHGo-Business Process Specialist

OHgo is a mobile nonprofit that uses converted trucks and a food bus to deliver goods and services to Erie County families in need. OHgo has been in operation since October 2015. We are a mobile service that reaches children and their families at their homes and in their neighborhoods. Our target population includes at-risk students and low-income families experiencing multiple complex needs that may have difficulty accessing mainstream groups and services on their own. Deliveries include goods such as food, school supplies, Christmas gifts, a mobile pumpkin patch and Christmas tree lot. Events include opportunities such as Project Book Give where our bookmobile visits local neighborhoods to read with children and help them choose books to take home and keep, mobile food pantries, birthday parties delivered to your door, and more.

Member Duties : As our VISTA member, you will enhance OHgo’s mission as a mobile pantry to reach populations of people who experience difficulties accessing mainstream services on their own. Growing our visibility through coordinated marketing, you will increase donations, sponsorships, and volunteer support for our services as we lead the fight against food insecurity in Erie County. You will also optimize our food delivery and route planning system to best coordinate drivers and food pickups, increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of our services. Finally, you will develop and implement a multi-channel public site for service requests, providing individuals the opportunity to register for food delivery services and other forms of assistance. Ultimately, our goal is to increase community stability, wellness, and food security. Become part of our team today! Benefits include a monthly $200 housing stipend to supplement living costs.
