Bridge to Finish Outreach & Communications VISTA, UWKC
 
 
 
***To be eligible for this position, candidates must commit to serve full-time for one year with United Way.*** United Way of King County (UWKC) Bridge to Finish helps community and technical college students get the services they need to stay in school and complete their education. UWKC’s mission is to bring caring people together to give, volunteer, and take action to help people in need and solve our community’s toughest challenges. The VISTA will work closely with the Program Manager to increase the capacity of the Bridge to Finish program. The VISTA member will serve within a large cohort of VISTA members working to fight poverty in King County.

Member Duties : The VISTA will be fighting poverty by building the capacity of the Benefits Hub Program in King County to connect low-income students to the resources they need to attain credentials, obtain good jobs, and achieve financial stability. To improve persistence and completion rates for low-income community and technical college students, the VISTA will create a standard and comprehensive full-year outreach campaign for the Benefits Hub program across community and technical colleges in King County; Lead in further developing and implementing program racial equity priorities, and project manages strategic communications to convey program updates to key stakeholders.
