Member Duties : The overall goal for the PHENND Fellow is to organize and coordinate a series of resources, activities and workshops to enrich the lives of YESPhilly students, their families, and residents of the surrounding community. These can include health, adult education and counseling services as well as workshops to develop practical or creative skills. Activities will be determined based on student interests and surveys conducted by the VISTA. The PHENND fellow will convene community partners, solicit partnerships/ resources, and develop programs for the YESPhilly Center. They will recruit partners as providers of weekly school and evening activities. They will focus on bringing in existing resources at no or low cost—and on inviting local artists and trainers to establish YESPhilly as their base for connecting with the community. Also, the fellow will survey partners, providers, and participants interest in joining a YESPhilly Center Advisory Board, and hold monthly board meetings.
