A Safe Haven Foundation, Operations Training Coordinator
 
 
 
The VISTA will work closely with the Operations Manager and the rest of the Operations team to develop operational projects and processes both within the department and across the organization. The VISTA will focus on implementing these projects by designing a year-round training system that ensures employees are adequately trained and up-to-date on the organization's Standard Operationg Procedures (SOPs) as well as other systems and technologies. The VISTA will assist the Operations Team in updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure that information and policies are consistent across the entire organization. This VISTA role will be a leadership position that will require significant attention to detail, exceptional organizational capacity, and an above-and-beyond work ethic. These activities will ensure that ASHF programs are operating as efficiently as possible, by reducing staff hours spent on administrative redundancies and improving management flow. The VISTA will serve as part of an intra-agency team studying and refining A Safe Haven Foundation’s model. The project is intended to identify and systematize best practices and update agency policies and procedures to reflect the most recent evidence-based recommendations for substance use social service care provision. This will allow ASHF to effectively scale its services and better serve homeless individuals in Chicago — particularly those at high-risk for opioid addiction — ultimately helping them transition out of poverty by creating greater access to treatment and other services.
