PSP VISTA: Athletics United
 
 
 
This full-time, one-year AmeriCorps VISTA service position is hosted by the Public and School Partnership (PSP) and is based with Athletics United in Logan, UT. Athletics United offers affordable access to athletics and learning services to refugee and immigrant youth and their families. The goal of this VISTA position is to assist Athletics United in building capacity and implementing sustainable systems and programming, assisting program staff in raising awareness for Athletics United in the community and beyond and by identifying and securing funding through local donations, partnerships, and grants. The VISTA member will also assist Athletics United staff in developing sustainable policy and training systems to foster a safe, healthy, supportive environment for all program participants.

Member Duties : Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: -Assist Athletics United directors in securing and sustaining grant funds. -Assist in increasing community awareness and attracting donations for Athletics United programs and services. -Contribute to the prevention of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse and to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for program participants. -Recruit and coordinate volunteers to support program.
