PHENND Fellows- VISTA Leader

One year of previous AmeriCorps or Peace Corps experience required. PHENND (The Philadelphia Higher Education Network for Neighborhood Development) is a 30-year-old consortium of over 25 colleges and universities in the Greater Philadelphia region. The consortium actively seeks to revitalize local communities and promote civic responsibility through service learning among the region's higher education institutions. Every year, since 2012, PHENND has recruited, trained, placed, and supported a cohort of talented and passionate college graduates through a year of service as AmeriCorps VISTA members in one of two tracks—Education or Non-Profit. The PHENND Fellows serve in schools, School District offices, and a variety of non-profits to address issues of poverty and leverage the power of community partnership. The VISTA leader will support AmeriCorps VISTAs who serve in a variety of sites throughout Philadelphia. This leader will also promote the sustainability of the PHENND VISTA project by working on recruitment, alumni engagement, inter-cohort communication, supplementary events, and possibly workshops and training.
