About 1 in 5 Houston adults is considered illiterate, experiencing difficulty in completing tasks such as filling out job applications. Strengthen awareness, helping to decrease adult illiteracy though meaningful community engagement by serving as Community Engagement VISTA with The Alliance Refugee Services. The Alliance is a leading nonprofit comprised of an amazing team that hails from 26 countries and speaks over 20 languages.
