Program and Outreach Coordinator
 
 
 
The Programs and Outreach Coordinator will develop and adapt Audubon’s bird conservation and engagement content for Las Vegas youth and their families at publicly accessible venues like public parks and community centers where individuals and their family can freely engage in hands-on bird conservation programs. In addition, the outreach coordinator will also promote Red Rock Audubon’s bird friendly community programs at community-wide environment justice and conservation events. The Programs and Outreach Coordinator will be an essential member of the team at Red Rock Audubon (Content, Education, Membership, Climate, Content and Help our Bird). This person will develop communication components for Red Rock Audubon(RRAS)’s outreach events in the community by leveraging and adapting the existing content in formats that are appropriate and digestible in specific neighborhood and communication channels. This person will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with current and new community partners, and events to connect with the public. This individual will work under the guidance of RRAS’ Education committee chairperson.

Member Duties : Primary Responsibilities Develop and adapt the Audubon content for outreach events and media channels. Collaborate with RRAS’ committees to adapt their committee work to support and diversify outreach. Maintain relationships with current and new community partners. Serve as a Red Rock Audubon ambassador at all RRAS events. Implement the Winchester Family Nester programs Monthly Bird Friendly Community programming Integration of Bird Friendly content into Winchester’s current cultural programming Help develop the Winchester Family Nester Youth Bird Club Work with Winchester education staff to implement Jr. Duck Stamp at Winchester Secondary Responsibilities Help train RRAS volunteers to support RRAS outreach program Support RRAS’ school support programs (STEM, Title 1 school outings) Support outreach programs at local community park, community and youth centers.
