Academy of Lifelong Learning VISTA - Year 2
 
 
 
As a VISTA member at Texas Southmost College, you will help disrupt the cycle of poverty in an underserved region. Major duties include lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of continuing education programs designed to alleviate the effects of poverty. Located at the tip of Texas, adjacent to Mexico and 20 miles from South Padre Island, TSC is a medium-sized community college located on the grounds of historic Fort Brown. VISTAs will promote social justice in a bicultural environment while building skills in leadership, project management, and communication. The candidate should possess the following knowledge and skills: strong organizational skills; ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with students, college employees and the public; ability to handle sensitive and extensive confidential data; and the ability to perform and excel in a high-tech all-digital environment.

Member Duties : The VISTA will work with community partners to implement and conduct satisfaction surveys for continuing education courses for multiple student groups across TSC and the greater community.
