United Way of Lake and Sumter Counties' mission is to improve the quality of life and build a stronger community by leveraging resources and uniting community partners to impact education, income, and health. We are conveniently located in downtown Leesburg on 441 nestled among restaurants and the Lake Square Mall. As a Grants VISTA, you will develop relationships with community partners and agencies and seek out funding opportunities to support our community partners as well as the ALICE population that we serve. Are you eager to become an investigator for new funding opportunities? Are you organized? Do you have the gift of writing clear and purposeful grant proposals? If this is your heartbeat we want you to reach out to us at UWLS. We want you to be a part of our gifted team and family. We are in need of a Grant VISTA to start in August 2022 and will last for the duration of a year. For more information, contact Danielle Heider, Community Impact Coordinator at dheider@uwls.org. If you are moving from another state we are offering a $1,000 moving stipend. You will be trained by a local, talented, and successful grant writer. Member Duties : As an AmeriCorps Grant VISTA, you will work closely with the CEO to develop new Grants and maintain current grants that were awarded to United Way of Lake and Sumter Counties in 2021. These grants were developed and awarded through our AmeriCorps Grant VISTA.
