Wallace Center at Winrock International, Food Systems Leadership Network- One VISTA Service Member will support the Food Systems Leadership Network (FSLN), a national peer learning community that connects current and emerging leaders, strengthens individual and collective leadership capacity, and fosters collaboration across communities. The goal of the network is to accelerate the realization of a just, equitable, and sustainable food system that generates good food, health, and opportunity for all. The member will support the FSLN’s work nationally, regionally, and in Arkansas, with a focus on building connections between Arkansas leaders and the national network and bringing network services to Arkansan food systems leaders. This site is based in Little Rock, Arkansas. The member will build lasting capacity for the network by, supporting the development and implementation of virtual trainings and peer learning opportunities, researching models and best practices for state food systems networks, developing toolkits based on existing FSLN resources, fostering engagement via the FSLN platform, and identifying funding to further state and regional network development. The ideal candidate will be deeply committed to racial equity, interested in local and regional food systems work in Arkansas, and bring a network and learning mindset to this role. This service site is based in Little Rock, AR with the potential for remote service. A housing stipend is available for eligible applicants.

Member Duties : The VISTA Member will fight poverty by helping to develop opportunities that build capacity for local food systems networks in Arkansas by creating new networking and tracking tools for food systems leaders in order to foster deeper connections between the national network and local food systems leaders in Arkansas and the surrounding states. This service will accelerate the realization of a just, equitable, and sustainable food system that generates good food, health, and opportunity for all.
