ICRI Development Coordinator VISTA

International Council for Refugees and Immigrants, Inc. (ICRI) is a nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of refugees and immigrants in the Omaha Metro area. ICRI began serving clients in 2019, and as a newer nonprofit has seen rapid growth. ICRIs refugee and immigrant client programming includes case management, youth mentoring and after-school STEM, peer support, and immigration services. ICRI strives to offer culturally and linguistically appropriate services to effectively assist our clients. The Omaha Metro area is home to a large refugee and immigrant population, and the VISTA would have the unique experience of working alongside a diverse team. With the recent growth at ICRI and the current movement of refugees into the Omaha area, the Development Coordinator VISTA member will research new grant funding opportunities, research potential donors, and analyze existing grants to develop a new process to expand the funding of ICRI to better serve more clients

Member Duties : The Development Coordinator position gives a VISTA the opportunity to assist in researching, planning, and writing grants in addition to developing fundraising events and processes to engage existing and potential donors for ICRI. ICRI has grown extensively within the last two years, providing an exciting opportunity for a VISTA member to use a variety of skills, including writing, planning, researching, process analysis and development. The VISTA will research new grant funding opportunities, research potential donors, and analyze existing grants to develop a new process to expand the funding of ICRI. The VISTA will coordinate grant activities for ICRI programs by assessing the current state of grant management, including application, evaluation and reporting, and implementing new grant processes. In addition, the VISTA will manage and expand donor relations and engagement, as well as create and revise strategic funding plans to organize and centralize ICRIs fundraising efforts.
