BYDC Communications Coordinator
 
 
 
BYDC (Bonneville Youth Development Coalition) is a nonprofit organization that works to lower substance use among youth in Bonneville County. We do this through promoting positive community involvement, collaboration and working towards creating a community culture free of substance use. Our organization serves all of Bonneville county reaching from Idaho Falls to Irwin. VISTA member will change the community culture of substance use by developing policies and protocols to ensure positive community involvement through community events and collaborations. Member will learn how to plan and run community events, maintain a database system and collaborate with other organizations. Member will learn how to develop organizational polices, protocols and procedures. We are looking for someone who has public speaking skills and has experience with community service/involvement. BYDC would love to have you on board to help us lower substance use among our youth in the community and help us make this community a better, safer place.

Member Duties : -Create and implement the process of delivery of communications plan through several channels, such as blogs, email bulletins, social media, press releases, and regular newsletters. -Work with Community Education Manager to manage office phone calls and online correspondence -Work with Community Education Manager to post information, facts, and data directed to the youth to educate them on the risks of Rx Misuse, Underage Drinking, Marijuana, Vaping on all social media -Work with the Community Education Manager to develop youth substance-abuse information, drug-free activities, youth leadership/events promotion and mental health resources -Work with Executive Director to assure the branding and message is consistent and reflects the mission and goals of the organization
