23-24 STEMSTL Communications & Outreach VISTA
 
 
 
St. Louis Regional STEM Ecosystem (STEMSTL) is a community of practice recognized by the STEM Learning Ecosystems Initiative. In partnership with the Afterschool Alliance and the STEM Funders Network, the STEMSTL is embarking on exciting work to expand the amount of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education opportunities offered in diverse learning spaces. These types of opportunities are made more accessible to youth through expanding local partnerships, coordinating community-led STEM activities, and more. The VISTA at STEMSTL will focus on improving the understanding and connectivity of the St. Louis STEM-learning ecosystem through activities like landscape analyses, stakeholder engagement and management, marketing of STEMSTL’s free, online portals, and communications/social media work. This position is based in St. Louis, MO. Afterschool Alliance VISTAs are eligible for the following benefits: up to $1000/mo for housing, $50/mo for gas, and $150/mo for groceries.

Member Duties : Conduct landscape analysis of work-based learning opportunities throughout St. Louis Metropolitan Statistical Area; Develop and implement communications plan for Work-Based Learning Summit; Develop and manage standardized processes for stakeholder engagement through Salesforce; Conduct landscape analysis of afterschool and summer STEM programming; Create and implement a marketing plan to drive traffic to STEMSTL’s online portals
