| Member Duties : 1) Create and manage pathways and incentives for students to develop their community engagement interests both on- and off-campus. 2) Create and manage additional support structures (including curriculum, facilitating community partnerships, media, etc.) for faculty members teaching service-learning courses. 3) Research and provide needed educational and capacity-building opportunities for non-profit partners. 4) Coordinate media outreach, both internal and external to UAB, in order to tell stories of successful community engagement --thereby growing the culture of engagement across campus. 5) Assess service-learning course outcomes using academically rigorous measuring tools, documenting both quantity and quality of efforts.
