VISTA Corporate Volunteer Coordinator

The Corporate Volunteer Coordinator VISTA will grow the pool of corporations that may be interested in volunteering while simultaneously increasing capacity of The Salvation Army to host volunteers yearround. In conjunction with the Development Staff, you will build connections to service that end up benefiting the families in need that Salvation Army serves. As many companies volunteer quarterly or on a recurring basis, every new volunteer day you secure has the potential to become a long-term partnership. Perfect for those interested in volunteer engagement, corporate outreach, community building, and making meaningful connections. Great for anyone interested in future nonprofit work as The Salvation Army is a well-recognized and reputable international nonprofit organization. The Salvation Army is in 130+ countries and has representation in every zip code of the United States. Our mission is to serve all in need, without discrimination. In the DC Metro Area, we help an average of 70,000 people a year through housing for young mothers, meal programs, youth and music activities, substance abuse treatment, rent and utility assistance, and more. We value programs that help expand personal and professional horizons, such as our internship program and AmeriCorps VISTA.
