Community Outreach and Engagement Fellow
 
 
 
GW Math Matters program trains college students to provide high-impact math tutoring to middle school students in DC. The VISTA will increase the capacity of the Math Matters tutoring program by conducting research, program evaluation, and outreach to stakeholders. They will collaborate with Nashman Center staff, DCPS school partners, and community-based organizations to implement math tutoring and programming in Title I middle schools in Washington, DC. Responsibilities will include: Contributing to tutor recruitment, training development, evaluation, identifying areas of improvement, and grant writing.

Member Duties : Activities include: 1. support tutor recruitment, training, curriculum and other logistics; 2. gather and analyze data to inform reports and make recommendations for program improvements; 3. build sustainability for VISTA-initiated projects
