The Be Kind People Project for Arizona's Youth
 
 
 
The Be Kind People Project ("BKPP") will have AmeriCorps members (Members) who will provide Social and Emotional (SEL) and Personal Youth Development (PYD) interventions to narrow the education achievement gap for 8,800 K-8 Arizona students in Cochise, Coconino, and Maricopa Counties, via school assemblies, classroom instruction, After School and summer enrichment coaching and tutoring, leadership development, creative arts expression for removing structural racial inequities, mentoring, evidence-based learning material development, and educator professional development and support in 16 metropolitan and non-metro Title 1 schools (including 25% of Title 1 schools in in rural areas).

Member Duties : BKPP is looking for motivated, creative, and kind individuals to contribute to the School Engagement Team. School Engagement Specialist, known as a Kindness Concierge, will provide the opportunity to work alongside our School Program Development Manager in designated schools to coordinate and schedule all BKPP programming, implement follow-up classroom activities, collect metrics from schools, communicate with administration about benchmark results, distribute classroom materials, and serve as school’s troubleshooter. This position will offer diverse experiences working with teachers, students, and schools. Qualifications: -Strong organizational skills -The ability to see a project through from start to finish -Experience working and facilitating programming for students -Excellent written and verbal skills -Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, social media interfaces, and online communication strategies -Familiar with marketing and content development
