COVID-19 Case Worker & Resource Coordinator

Catholic Charities serves the needy, vulnerable, the hungry, veterans, single parents, and anyone in need. We provide food and clothing on a monthly basis and can assist financially annually with utilities. We offer prescription and transportation assistance, financial counseling and other referral services. Catholic Charities in Sallisaw is open from 10-2 Tuesday through Thursday and staff onsite Monday thru Thursday. Our mission is to serve the vulnerable with compassion, giving hope for a better future. Catholic Charities in Sallisaw started back in the 1970’s in a mobile home. Food and clothing were our only services. We soon outgrew that building and our current location was purchased in August 2001. We’ve got a 1500 sq. ft clothing room that offers clothes to all from infants to XXXL sizes, 100% by donation. Additionally, we have small appliance and kitchen basics for those starting over. Our pantry now operates out of a 900 square foot warehouse at the same location. We offer commodity foods, fresh fruits and vegetables, canned goods, frozen meat from the Food Bank and milk, packaged goods and bakery items donated thru the Feeding America partnership with Walmart and Dollar General. Since COVID-19 the unemployment and homelessness has seen a significant increase. COVID-19 has changed the whole economic environment leaving people insecure for both food and shelter. Catholic Charities intends to ease the discomfort of our neighbors with our services. When you join this team, you will experience a fulfillment unequalled in a ‘for-profit’ business learning what services are available to help those in need. You will have personal encounters with the neediest in our community. We have volunteers from all walks of life all working together to take care of the poor. You will also network with other community leaders to bring the most to those who need it.
