Recovery Resource Center Opioid Program Assistant VISTA
 
 
 
Navigating our community’s substance abuse treatment system can be overwhelming. The Recovery Resource Center is a collaborative initiative dedicated to simplifying that process by providing a central point of information. To increase access to substance use treatment in Alabama, the Recovery Resource Center’s AmeriCorps VISTA position will work to provide new capacity to the program by engaging with clients daily while also maintaining and developing various projects.

Member Duties : The VISTA will 1. Provide support to clients who call the RRC on the Recovery Crisis Line. 2. Assist the Peer Specialists with outreach activities such as Naloxone trainings and resource fairs. 3. Maintain the Todd Parsons Memorial Clothing Closet. 4. Develop and implement a volunteer program at the RRC 5. Examine the needs of our clients to propose and develop a new project that will be a permanent part of the RRC.
