LSI Resettlement VISTA - Des Moines
 
 
 
LSI Resettlement VISTA will focus on increasing LSI's capacity to support new arrivals resettling to Iowa. Specifically, the VISTA member will review and update the community volunteer program from LSI's previous resettlement activities to be in line with current needs and best practices, pilot the new program to provide support to new arrivals transitioning to new arrivals, and train staff on program functions to integrate into existing volunteer and program infrastructure. Additionally, VISTA member will collaborate with Philanthropy team to increase LSI's capacity to collect and distribute in-kind donations to support resettlement.

Member Duties : The VISTA member’s service will focus on the following key activities: • expand volunteer roles to include community support volunteer roles • Coordinate with staff to integrate updated volunteer roles into program and volunteer infrastructure • collaborate with Philanthropy and community partners to increase in kind donation capacity to meet resettlement needs
