STLPZ NCI Capacity Building and Community Engagement
 
 
 
The work of North County Inc. Regional Development Association is to serve as an advocate for economic and community development in the North St. Louis County community. Focusing on quality of life influencers that impact sustainability of community from both a residential perspective and business climate. Work is focused on economic development, healthcare, education, and transportation. This role will be to build organizational capacity by identifying grant options that align with mission and assisting with research needed for the application of grants. Also, assisting with researching current and planned economic growth within service area and community engagement to increase knowledge regarding community needs, assets, and barriers. The Capacity Building and Community Engagement VISTA will also be responsible for developing content and sustaining growth of North County Inc.’s online and social media accounts , public relations for NCI, and assist with events. The purpose of this campaign is to foster community building and engagement by highlighting area resources and empowering local identities to encourage community investment from inside and outside north St. Louis county. Note: Activities may require use of personal vehicle to external meetings, events, and activities due to lack of reliable public transportation in the St. Louis metro area.

Member Duties : 1.Responsible for researching and identifying grant possibilities related to our mission related work and our educational Initiative on the Economic Benefits of Racial Equity in the Workplace. Applying for grants, including gathering data necessary for the grant and tracking grant status. 2.Research area’s current economic status and update Economic Profile of community. Collaboration may be needed to make use of data tools and gather information. Engage community stakeholders and share results to increase knowledge about community advancements. 3.Develop content and sustain growth of North County Inc.’s social media accounts. Engage with local stakeholders and strategize on how to build more engagement and organic growth. Create and share content that fosters community building and engagement by highlighting area resources and empowering local identities to encourage community investment from inside and outside north St. Louis county.
