Basic Needs Associate

At Catholic Charities Serving Central Washington; we bring hope to life, especially to those most in need. St. Vincent Centers Thrift Store lives out this mission by providing hope and assistance to individuals and families who are struggling to provide for their basic needs. We anticipate the need will grow as the effects of the pandemic continue. We would like to be able to promote our services in the community, so that we are able to serve a broader number of clients in need. We are looking for compassionate and motivated individuals to join our team and make this a reality. The ideal candidate has ten months to give full-time to the project, ties to the community, experience in social service, and is excited to reach out within Catholic Charities and to other service providers and nonprofits throughout Yakima County to make them aware of the services we provide. These individuals will also be motivated to serve one on one with clients to help assess their current needs and goals, support them with our services, and help them move to the next step in their recovery. By the end of the project, the Basic Needs Associate will have traveled throughout Yakima County and met with multiple service providers and non-profits like Catholic Charities. They will have brought hope to life to many individuals and families, both by partnering with other agencies and meeting with individuals. Our team is excited to expand and welcome new teammates who will join us in bringing hope to life.
