Rural Racial Equity Capacity Coordinator at The Hub

The West Virginia Community Development Hub supports West Virginians with the tools and training they need to lead and spark positive change in their hometowns and across our state. Our purpose is to coach volunteer community leadership teams to help them build sustained development in rural communities and grow the overall community economic development system in West Virginia through collaborative partnerships that use innovative approaches to address systemic challenges for rural development. Within this system, racial inequity remains a systemic challenge that must be addressed to truly build a better future for all. In collaboration with The Hub's Racial Equity Fellow, the member in this project will support the capacity of The Hub to address the inequities within the community development system and itself. As a result of the VISTA member’s service, The Hub will become better positioned to address racial equity in its work, and communities will begin working towards addressing issues of racial inequity within themselves.
