VISTA Leader for Economic Development in Rural WY, 2022-2023

PEP’s VISTA Intermediary Program increases the capacity of local businesses and organizations to identify and meet the changing needs of Powell and Park County, while also supporting efforts to address poverty issues in a rural area. The VISTA Leader for Economic Development (ED) works closely with the PEP Intermediary Supervisor to expand and improve PEP’s VISTA Program as a structured Program that helps organizations address internal stability, rural workforce and capacity issues. Specifically, the VISTA Leader for Rural WY Economic Development will implement replicable recruitment and onboarding systems; create and implement tools to connect members to onboard new VISTAs, connect them to resources, and help mentor them; organize training and activities that support group cohesion amongst VISTA members; and finally help increase visibility, understanding, and support for the Program locally to present the Program as a resource to organizations and businesses to address challenges. With each successive year of the PEP VISTA Program, VISTA Leaders will also help the PEP VISTA Supervisor implement additional structures, features, processes to institutionalize, stabilize and ensure the longevity of the PEP VISTA Program in Powell, WY and Park County.
