Opportunity Council-Lifeline Connection Res. Treatment VISTA

Lifeline Connections is a community-based behavioral health organization with locations through NW Washington that specializes in providing confidential and compassionate care to individuals who experience a substance use and/or mental health condition. The primary goal of the Men’s Low Intensity Residential Treatment Program is to provide a therapeutic treatment environment to facilitate sustained, self-directed change for the individual in active recovery. We believe in supporting recovery, health, and well-being by taking a holistic approach to services. We focus on enhancing the quality of life of the persons served. We strive to support the reduction of symptoms experienced by the individuals to help build resilience. Restoring and improving function in an individual’s daily life is a priority. Our program supports the individuals in transitioning back into their community and to their families. This VISTA will build capacity for the new Men's Low Intensity Residential Treatment program and recovery services for low income adults with behavioral health disorders in Whatcom County. This will be accomplished by researching and identifying activities and events, strengthening volunteer systems and relationships with community partners, and identifying community partners that would be a referral source to Men’s Low Intensity residential to increase capacity. Sustained recovery from behavioral health disorders leads to economic improvement, financial self-sufficiency, and improved quality of life.
