NAMI Dubuque Nonprofit Expansion VISTA Project
 
 
 
NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Dubuque is searching for an integral part of our organization as we search for individual(s) to strength our program support and presence within the Dubuque community and tristate area and provide operational capacity building. As well as provide organizational and operational support for capacity building and relationship maintenance. Capacity building may involve facilitator recruitment, volunteer management, fundraising, marketing, website maintenance and understanding of IT and awareness campaigns, building business relationships, establishing positive presence within behavioral health focused agencies within the area, be present at events and plan new relationships with like-minded members of our community to heighten awareness to mental health, suicide awareness and strength our nonprofit mission. We are looking for a collaborative approach to add to our growing nonprofit.

Member Duties : As a VISTA, you will become an essential part of our nonprofit organization as we have grown significantly and are looking for qualified VISTAS to building capacity through program development and organizational support. We value resource sharing, community relationships. NAMI Dubuque is built on education, support and advocacy and hope to enrich the lives of the members of our community as well as the individuals who select our nonprofit. NAMI Dubuque is an affiliate of the nation’s largest advocacy group on mental health, and we take pride on our national stance surrounding mental health and research we provide, globally. As part of our organization, you will work closely work with our board of directors and peer support facilitators to gain understanding and awareness of the Dubuque community. We seek independent, self-starting VISTAs who would like to join our impactful nonprofit is eastern Iowa.
