2021-2022 CWHC EHR Integration VISTA (IAFCC)
 
 
 
Chicago Women’s Health Center (CWHC) is working on transitioning from paper charts to electronic health records (EHR) to better evaluate its health services, expand its telehealth services, and increase the effectiveness of clinic systems. The VISTA will support the implementation phase of this transition: preparation of systems, strategic planning of integration, bringing the system online, training staff and volunteers, and educating CWHC’s client community. Alongside the integration of EHR, further develop the Integrative Health Program, which offers alternative healing modalities not often available on a sliding scale – expanding the options available in addressing health concerns and achieving health goals.

Member Duties : Collaborate to plan for the integration, training, and evaluation of HER. Manage the project timeline and support the coordination of all parties involved in maintaining that timeline. Troubleshoot and adapt integration and systems as needed and provide additional research. Develop staff training with EHR Committee, including the documentation of procedures. Work as a troubleshooting resource for staff. Lead the process of evaluating successful integration, staff use, and client use. Take charge of education efforts for client communities to understand and utilize new opportunities presented by the new EHR interface. Create a final toolkit and/or manual on how to use the EHR platform and how to troubleshoot problems for staff to use once the VISTA finishes service.
