Prevent Abuse Through Home Visitation (PATH)

Prevent Abuse Through Home Visitation (PATH) holds that if parents at-risk of child abuse and neglect receive evidence-based home visitation or group based parenting education then parenting skills improve and children are safer. AmeriCorps members will provide parenting education to families at-risk of child abuse and neglect through home visitation and group-based services. Members will also provide supportive services such as referrals for community resources, short term case management, and other health and resource education focused on family stabilization and family strengthening. Members are placed at community organizations such as Family Resource Centers to provide services and become an integral part of the community service network.
