Healthy Minds Alliance - Caldwell, ID (Boise Metropolitan)

The Healthy Minds Alliance is an innovative AmeriCorps program that engages universities, school districts, health care systems and other community based organizations across the nation to support widespread implementation of evidence based mental health focused gatekeeper trainings, including Mental Health First Aid, QPR and SafeTALK. There is a sense of urgency in our nation to improve awareness, recognition and ability to respond to the needs of those experiencing symptoms of mental illness. These gatekeeper trainings provide communities with the tools to better respond to mental health care needs. Healthy Minds Alliance places AmeriCorps members at host sites across the nation. AmeriCorps members improve their host site’s capacity to address mental health needs in their community through service. During their one-year service term AmeriCorps members are trained as instructors in an identified gatekeeper training and provide certification classes for community members. Application Instruction: In addition to the AmeriCorps application, please email a resume to Emily Scanlon at scanlon@health360.org.
