Member Duties : The AmeriCorps Placement Specialist will provide direct service to participants by conducting employer outreach throughout the community to strengthen relationships and network for job ready individuals. Members will engage with people who have received our services by following up on employment status, quality of employment, and offer courses and other opportunities to retain and continue to serve participants. Members will host two-hour networking groups on a weekly basis with activities to engage participants at our centers and connect them with likeminded individuals seeking the same aspirations. Placement Specialists will work in conjunction with Trainers and Resource Connectors to serve participants receiving occupational skills training and pre-employment job readiness training.
