AZ Project WET Water Educator - UACE Pima County

Arizona Project WET (APW) fosters water literacy and stewardship in K-12 education. The Water Educator team's main purpose is to deliver locally relevant water education programs in Tucson-area schools. These programs include groundwater, rainwater harvesting, water conservation technology, nature journaling, water festivals, and more. All training, assistance, and additional educational opportunities are provided to Water Educators by APW staff. No prior experience is required but is preferred. Water Educators should have a strong interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education, a basic understanding of educational principles and methods, and an interest and ability to work with K-12 students. Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical information into age-appropriate presentations are necessary.
