Position Title and Information: Three Quarter Time AmeriCorps Member 1200 hours to be completed before August 31, 2025 Stipend= $650 bi-weekly mileage to be reimbursed according to ICRI policy in the agency handbook Education Award= $5,176.50 upon completion of service hours. Reports To: Program Manager: Patrick Kabula Phone Number: 531-239-7646 Email: Patrick.kabula@icrius.org Service Site: Primary Service Site: International Council for Refugees and Immigrants, 3260 Davenport St, Omaha, Nebraska 68131 Secondary Service Site: After-school sites, youth homes, and other community settings as needed. Essential functions: AmeriCorps Members serve at least 1,200 or an approximate average of 25 hours per week. The term of service is twelve months: September 1, 2024 (at the very earliest) through August 31st, 2025. Members provide mentorship to refugee youth ages 10-21 who are identified as needing emotional, academic, and cultural support. Each Member is assigned a caseload of approximately 10 youth whom they meet with weekly for at least 2 hours until their service term is complete or until the youth no longer needs the support (whichever comes first). Members are required to participate in pre-service and ongoing training sessions throughout their year of service (i.e., one-week pre-service training and other mentorship or AmeriCorps training).
