PSP VISTA: Zootah
 
 
 
This full-time, one-year AmeriCorps VISTA position is hosted by the Public & School Partnership and is based at Zootah in Logan, UT. Education: The VISTA member will increase education programs and outreach to the community. In doing this, more people in the local community will benefit from Zootah's programs and, in raising awareness of and support for programs, Zootah will be able to provide affordable and accessible services for all. All AmeriCorps VISTA positions are full-time for one year, as mandated by the Corporation for National and Community service. Successful completion of a one-year service term qualifies all VISTA members for either an education award of $6345 or a cash stipend of $1800 (direct deposit).

Member Duties : Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Education: Develop family education program and distance education program. Develop marketing and social media outreach. Write grants, solicit donations. Recruit and develop volunteer guest speakers from local community. Develop community outreach and community engagement programs Marketing: Develop and implement marketing and advertising strategy via social media and other platforms to raise awareness of Zootah's activities and events Develop and implement marketing and advertising strategy for events through social media, print materials, flyers, etc. Develop promotional signage at Zootah's facility to advertise events to general public during daily hours of operation. Develop outreach and develop partnerships with schools, education providers, and homeschool groups to raise awareness of and increase participation in educational opportunities provided by Zootah.
