Member Duties : STEM-Corps East Members will have the option to serve as a STEM Tutor or a STEM Enrichment Assistant based on skill, interest, and community placements. STEM Tutors provide one-on-one & small group tutoring services either within the schools or in or with a community-based organization that provides after school tutoring services. STEM Enrichment Assistants provide after-school support in STEM subjects and STEM focused enrichment activities for youth-based organizations. Members are provided with on-going support, guidance, and supervision of classroom teachers and site supervisors. Members will provide subject-based support and serve as a role model for youth. Members will use different techniques and strategies to help youth leaners acquire new knowledge, solve problems, and complete academic tasks. Members will assist youth understanding of STEM concepts and the impact of everyday life.
