Member Duties : The National Center for Appropriate Technology (NCAT), based in Butte, Montana, works with local and state partners to strengthen community resilience in the face of stresses and shocks, especially related to climate change disruptions. This position will work with NCAT, Silver Bow County, EcoAdapt and other project partners to organize and coordinate a series of climate adaptation workshops for the county and develop a community climate resilience plan. You also will support another VISTA member, in partnership with Montana State University and Climate Smart Montana, to conduct a statewide needs assessment and engage Montana stakeholders to develop recommendations for how AmeriCorps programs can advance community resilience planning in Montana as recommended in the 2020 Montana Climate Solutions Plan.
