'21-'22 Communications VISTA - Homelessness Prevention

St. Vincent de Paul (SVDP) of Tacoma, Pierce County is one of the few organizations working upstream to prevent homelessness by providing spiritual, material, and direct financial assistance to those in need. We know that people who lose their homes face the uphill, seemingly impossible task of finding new housing. In providing direct financial assistance, SVDP is able to help stop the increase of homelessness in Pierce County by keeping families in their homes and providing basic needs, such as rent and utilities, through our Homelessness Prevention and Basic Needs Program. In this role, you will be a member of the Greater South Sound VISTA team (Learn more: unitedway-thurston.org/americorps-vista).
