Black Belt Women Rising Community Coordinator VISTA
 
 
 
BlackBelt Women Rising is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to serving individuals of African American descent and other individuals dealing with crises. The focus areas are domestic violence and sexual assault, HIV awareness, poverty, and the environment. We will be providing culturally specific sensitive services through prevention education, court advocacy, as well as our training workshops and presentations for other shelters, members of the LGBTQ+ community, other community organizations, health, legal, and law enforcement professionals.

Member Duties : The VISTA will help identify new partner organizations and developing a communication plan to strengthen relationships with community partners and the community. They will inform the community about gender-based violence, provide them with information about the environment and how it affects them, and identify and connect the community to existing services to support them. They will also help to develop systems and policies that encourage the sustainability of the organization's mission.
